It's the end of the world as we know it...yeah!

So it's the end of the Presidential race and the American people have elected the monkey back into office!

I try not to get political with my postings but as this outcome affects me as well as the American people, then I feel I have a right to say what troubles me! And thats exactly what I am going to do!

How could you let him in AGAIN!!?!?

You may ask how the election of Bush as President has any bearing on my life considering I live over the pond from G. Dubyah?... Well thats because the decisions he makes affects me as well. Going to war and asking for British help, instigating a feeling of fear and dread among the people of the US (and the world) and more importantly thinking that he has ANY right to say what I can and can't do!

For a start, this post is likely to be scanned and recorded by one of a number of monitoring systems the American government uses to track suspected terrorists and basically anyone they want to keep an eye on, Echelon, for example (any Feds watching, you know what I mean!)... Oops.. did 'I' say 'Bomb?'

Come on people, have you not learnt yet! He's taken you to war twice, he does deals with the Bin Laden family, his Daddy gave billions of dollars to the same people you know call terrorists!??!? Whats going on??!

It's worth noting that today I found out that troops from our Blackwatch regiment at Camp Dogwood have been killed doing the job that American soldiers were not willing to do! And I don't blame them! With people like Bush in charge, 'I' wouldn't want him to be in charge of me and my fellow men, sent to fight an impossible war!

But he is in charge, and you gave him the keys, passed him the reigns and now he is in charge of the wagon for the next 4 years!

I'm not just blaming you. I blame myself as well! Britain has not helped, by backing down to every demand the American Government makes of us! America wants to invade these countries, and we just say "well you are our friends, guess we'll join in as well!"

Know I don't want to get into the reasons for going to war, was it WMD's, was it oil, was it just a bunch of trigger happy soldiers who hadn't had a decent taste of war since 'Nam'??? Does your victory taste as sweet now? All I know is that the monkey you have re-elected couldn't tie his own shoe laces without help. Did you not see him sat in the classroom on the day of September 11th 2001 reading childrens books and not making any attempt to actually 'DO' anything to help save the nation from these US paid terrorists?

Shocked, stunned, your damn right you were, you all suddenly realised you had elected a puppet on a string as President, then what did you do?... you re-elected him?!!!

I can't say whether Kerry would have made a better President, but did you not want to at least try something new? I always thought America was the land of oppurtunity and choice? I just hope you made the right choice!

As with everything, only time will tell! But let me leave you with this thought.. who is the fool? the fool, or the fool who follows the fool?

You all have a choice! I fear that America, the land of the free is soon to become the land of the un-free! Guantanamo Bay, USA Patriot Act, Terrorist Information Awareness (TIA), is any of this getting through? I hope so!!!
